The “Model of Grassland Green Silky Fowl and Healthy Poultry Engineering” Succeeded

Organized by the China Association of Animal Industry, the Symposium on the “Model of Grassland Green Silky Fowl and Healthy Poultry Engineering” was held on July 22~24, 2004 in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, through which the model of “Model of Grassland Green Silky Fowl and Healthy Poultry Engineering” was determined.
The characteristics of Model of Grassland Green Silky Fowl were: grazing on grassland, eating green grass and insects, etc and living harmoniously with the nature. The poultries raised on the grassland were ad libitum feeding and moving, which improved the quality and flavor of meat as well as the environment of grassland through less pollution and agricultural chemicals applied. It is still a new model for poultry raising and needs further study.
