China’s Egg Production Ranks First in the World

Recently, the egg production in China has been ranking first and it is the second for the poultry meat in the world.
In 2003, the productions of egg and poultry meat in China were 25.35 million t and 13.2 million t,
accounting for respectively 40% and 17% of that in the world.
Poultry industry is one of the pillar industries in china. According to statistics, the off take rate of poultry in 2003 was 8300 million and the number of living poultries were 4700 million, with total output value 241.5 billion yuan.
Last year, the volume of poultry meat export was more than 800 million yuan and 70% of them was produced from leading enterprises with high quality of production and guaranteed quality of the products.
