Feed Saving Small Type Brown Shell Egg Layer Bred Successfully

Feed Saving Small Type Brown Egg Shell Layer is also called Nongda Brown No 3 bred by the researchers in China Agriculture University by applying gene technology, which introduced dw gene into brown egg shell layer to decrease the body weight of adult and increase feed efficiency in order to improve comprehensive benefits of production. The daily feed intake of the bred layers is only 87g and the ratio of egg to feed is 2.0:1~2.1 :1., exceeding the testing level of world common fine quality layer in test station. Raising small type layer can gain the following benefits:
1. Feed saving
0.2~0.3kg feeds will be saved to produce 1 kg eggs
2. Increasing raising density
In the layer house of same highness, one more layer of cage will be increased for the bred small layers.
3. High price for the egg
The price for the egg produced by the bred layer is 0.1~0.5 yuan higher than that of common egg because of the preference from the consumers in some areas..
