Genome of Poultry is Hopeful to be Translated
Cooperated with the relative unit in UK, Beijing Institute of Genome,
Chinese Academy of Sciences has undertaken genetic testing and analysis
on poultry genome to establish genetic map of molecular marker from
fine variety poultry and laid foundation on breeding for high production
and quality poultry.
Genome polypeptide of poultry found by the Institute can be directly
applied on the research of genetic breeding. It was planned that all
genetic testing work would be finished within the year of 2003 and
poultry would be the first agricultural animal to be completely genetic
tested.
