Industry Is Steadily Recovering in China
The information from MOA showed that along with the gradual removal
of the blockade in avian influenza infected areas throughout China,
the market demand for fowl products started to rise in an all-round
way after dropped to the ¡°bottom¡±. Rural poultry industry is recovering
gradually.
A few days ago, the prices of chicken egg and chicken meat had recovered
to the level before the occurrence of avian influenza. Now the price
situation is normal. The price of day-old chick was 1.8~1.9 yuan/bird,
now it has recovered to the level of 1.7~1.8 yuan/bird. The price
of egg at present is 4.0~4.3 yuan/kg, about 12%~16% lower than that
before the avian influenza epidemics, but, it is about 5%~7.5% higher
as compared with that during the same period of the previous year.
The price situation has basically resumed normal.
Related responsible person of MOA said that we must let people know
the state compensation policy, do every thing fairly with some transparence.
The compensation standards in different regions are slightly different,
we must do things according to the local market situation. However,
the compensated fund in general has exceeded the price situation after
the avian influenza epidemics, therefore the people are very satisfied.
