Technology for Bird Flu Virus in China Gained Major Breakthrough
The experts committee, with Mr. Tian Bo, Academician of Chinese Academy
of Sciences as president, announced on 26 in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province
that the Real-time Fluorescent RT-PCR Kit for Subtype of Bird Flu
H5¡¢H7¡¢H9 was successfully developed. The Kit can test 3 subtypes
of Bird Flu in one time, which was the first time in the world.
According to the introduction from experts, this achievement using
specific DNA Oligo Probe, has solved the difficult technical problem
of ¡°singe tube for multiple test¡± and can test 3 subtypes of H5,
H7 and H9 of Bird Flu in one time with the characteristics of fast,
precise and sensitive, which has reached world advanced level and
will be extended in supplying live bird to Hong Kong and the live
bird import and export.
