Shandong exporting 2000ton frozen chicken to Japan in 2005, falling sharply by 92.5%

Shandong chicken export in 2004 was in greatly low tide. Statistic from Qingdao CIQ says that poultry meat and products export from Shandong in 2004 was 94000ton with value of 240,000,000dollors, each of them falling by 44.9% and 24% compared with that of the former year, in which frozen chicken is only 34000ton, sharply falling y 67.3%.

Technical bulwark is the key restricting factor on Shandong chicken meat and products export. Since AI epidemic situation in parts of China in Jan 2004, Japan restricted chicken meat and products exporting firstly, leading chicken meat and products export in Shandong into trap. Japan permitted export from 35 cooked chicken food processing enterprises of China in April 2004, but frozen chicken import hasn't been resumed. Since Shandong leans to export to Japan, taking about more than 60%, that influenced frozen chicken export greatly. In 2004, frozen chicken export from Shandong to Japan is 20000ton, falling by 92.5%.
