Technological Product¡ªPIC Completed Line Breeder Pig
Chongqing Dazheng Animal Scientech Co. Ltd introduced PIC completed
line breeder pig from international pig group co. in 1999 to carry
out test and selected breeding, population extension and reproduction,
selected and bred for pure. The performance of the line reached domestic
leading level and international advanced level.
Specialized paternity and female line with different characteristics
had been bred by using the principle of molecular quantitative genetics,
molecular marker aid selection technology, BLUP technology, embryo
transfer and artificial insemination based on selection and use of
quality traits from 36 fine variety pigs in the whole world. Paternity
was selected and bred towards fast growth, high feed efficiency and
meat producing trait while for the female line, the traits of nursing
ability, annual births, litter size, meat quality and adaptation were
selected to fully use hybrid vigor and trait complementary principle
and form 5 optimized and completed lines, reaching advanced level
of world pig raising:
L03 Line: big litter size, good adaptability and fast growth
L02 Line: fast growth, high feed efficiency and long body
L19 Line: high body, fast growth and strong ability against disease
L11 Line: high reproductive ability and quality meat
L64 Line: high percentage of lean meat, reaching more than 70%.
