Tongzhou bred successfully mountain wild pig

A variety of grassland wild pig has been bred successfully in Xuyuan Farm in Beijing and 120 heads of piglet have been born, which will be put onto market within this year.
In beginning this year, 1 million yuan were invested by Agricultural Machine Service Center in Tongzhou District, Beijing to construct the demonstration and raising base of grassland wild pig and 180 raising houses and sheds have been constructed.
Grassland wild pig is a new group of wild pig with stable genetic traits, selected and bred by crossing fine variety of grassland male in Inner Mongolia with female swine. The lean meat is high and flavor of the pig meat is very delicious and tender.
The appearance of the pig is very much like wild pig and the weight of adult can reach 70 kg within 6 months. Grassland wild pig is a unique pig variety in China with strong competition in foreign markets and the price of the pig meat per kg can reach more than 100 yuan.
