The Large Pig Raising Province will Overall Implement Live Hog Public Harm Free Certificate

According to disposition of the provincial government, Hunan Province will produce 25 million heads of public harm free live hog in this year. At present, live hog public harm free certificate has been overall implemented in the 14 cities and areas in the province.

Hunan Province produces more than 60 million live hog per year. To guarantee the safety of meat products, the sectors of animal husbandry in the province will mainly construct 11 public harm free live hog bases to demonstrate and lead the standardized production of public harm free pig. At the same time, the annual production of 25 million public harm free pigs will be dissected to different cities, counties and areas in the province and the sectors of animal husbandry are responsible for testing, verifying and certificating of the productive places.

At present, the first batch of sampling for animal product inspection has been completed by 8 inspection stations and the inspection rate of Clenbuterol was zero.
