Sichuan is Hopeful to Break through US$ 100 million on Pork Export

According to the Commercial Department of Sichuan Province, pork export in Sichuan from January to April, 2004 had been increased in a big margin. Based on estimation, pork export in Sichuan this year is hopeful to break through 100 000 ton, with the export volume of US$ 130 million. The main export markets are 10 countries and regions including Hong Kong Region, Russia, Singapore and Macao Region, etc.

Sichuan is ranked number one on pork production in China and in last year, the province exported 75000 ton of pork, with the volume of more than US$95 million, which was an all time high in the province.
