Safe Meat Improver Developed
A kind of new and safe meat improver¡ªMQI-1 (feed additive) is developed
by Animal Science College, Zhejiang University using modern biochemical
and animal nutritional method by mixing active components of plants
with the substance with the function to control the second messager
of animal through many times of feeding, slaughter trial and optimization.
The innovation of the feed additive is that it is for the first
time to have a systematic study on effects of organic selenium on
meat quality of different breeds of pigs and effects of cysteine
on meat quality of growing pigs. The improver is able to improve
both growth rate and lean meat rate of pigs with the function of
meat quality improvement, safe without residue. Addition of 0.2%
MQI-1 can increase 3.78%~7.8% of gain and decrease feed and weight
ratio of 1.75%~9.1%.
