The First Pork
Product in China Entered into ”°Carrefour Quality System”±
Carrefour Group, the largest retail chain enterprise in Europe announced
on December 8, 2003 in Shanghai that they would cooperated with well
known ”°healthy pork”± supplier in China-Shanghai Agriculture, Industry
and Commerce Meat Product Company to supply the pork products in line
with Carrefour Quality System to Carrefour Stores in Shanghai, which
was the first meat product that entered into the global ”°Carrefourt
Quality System”± who has established 434 quality systems in different
areas in the world.
Shanghai Agriculture, Industry and Commerce Meat Product Company is
a large type specialized, modern and standardized live hog and pork
product enterprise that first realized all process control for breeder
pig reproduction, pig feeding and slaughter and processing and also
the first enterprise whose product was attested as ”°public harm free
agro-product. In shanghai. The enterprise has 8 seed stock farms,
seed stock reproduction farm and commercial pig farm, with a new established
23000m2 garden like abattoir and capacity of 0.4 million pigs a year.
Four series of ”°Assun Brand”± including 25 kinds of product had obtained
a logo of Shanghai safety and healthy agro-product and the right to
use the logo.
