The base of annual 70000 commercial pigs in put into production
—“Safe meat chain” established in Wuhan

Recently, a base of 70000 heads Commercial pig of China National Cereals, Oils& Foodstuffs Import & Export Corporation has been put into production and the completed chain of “safe meat” production has been formed in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. It is known that based on the national standard, the quality of “safe meat”, which contains no antibiotics and pollution of heavy metal and bacterial, is better than that of quality-assured meat and a kind of public harm free food.

Last year, China National Cereals, Oils& Foodstuffs Import & Export Corporation, which is one of the global top 500 enterprises selected Jiangxia area and invested 2000 million yuan to establish a chilled fresh meat processing base with the capacity of 220000 heads, a feed mill of 80000 tons and pig raising base to form a “safe meat” chain.

Based on introduction, it will be linked completely the production of breeder pigs with feed, raising, processing and marketing with strict quality control, to extend standardized production via quality system, after completion the base.

At present, “safe meat” has been put onto market.
