Making a Rational Program, Bringing Local Superiority into Play in Pork Production in China

China has large land, we should bring local superiority and characteristics into play fully and
make a rational program.in the developed cities and regions along the coast, the breeds should belong to lean meat type swine with high performance. Systematic polycross will be suitable. The way of management should major m large- scale industrialization to improve efficiency and benefit.
In the ordinary developed regions, the breed should also major in lean meat type swine. The
efficient combination of commercial cross should be popularized in large-scale swine production.
At the sanle time of regulating industrial structure of countryside, adjust the structure of planting.
For example, in southern region, we should increase planting area of com, beans, barley and so on.
In whole country, should increase planting area of low mustard acid rape for exploiting resource
of protein feed. In outlying mountain and western under-developed district, the pattern of three-way cross (only one local breed) should be suggested. In those regions, where pig-feeding farmers become the main pal of swine production, we must support the specialized households of swine production positively to improve level of swine production continuously.
