The aftereffect for live pig production in China in 2005 is abundant

In the end of the year of 2004, the number of live pig in the whole country was 470.67 million heads, increasing 1% compared with that in 2003. The off take rate of pig in 2004 was more than 600 million head, increasing 1.5% compared with that in 2003 and the pork production in the same year was 4.745 million ton, increasing 5%.

It is estimated that the live pig production in China in 2005 will keep stable growth because: 1. Governments at different levels in China attach great importance and give support to live pig production; 2. The number of female breeding pig increased to give the aftereffect for live pig production; 3. Large-scale pig production has become the dominant strength of the industry.
