Loosely fed pigs will disappear in Tianjin

Since 2005, 95% pork on table of Tianjin citizen will be from modern big-scale breeding bases which are strictly quarantined, swine rate which is put into market of individual breed farmers in the city and areas around will also falls from 20% at present to 5%. Till 2006, individual breed farmers will be eliminated.
At present, rate of the current swine in Tianjin which comes from big-scale breeding bases and farmers who breeding loosely is 6:4. Tianjin Livestock Department and Slaughtering Processing Enterprises sign agreement with breeding bases to supervise the production process, and shorten purchasing rate of individual breed farmers. This year, "Relieved pork" in market rate coming from big-scale breeding bases will improve 15% on the basis of 80%, and the rate in 2006 will reach 100%
