Sichuan is No.1 live hog exporter in China

In the first half of 2004, live hog export in Sichuan Province reached 29000 ton with the export volume of US$42.2 million, increasing 1.4 times and 1.9 times compared with the same period of last year, ranking No.1 in the country.
　　
At the same time, the price for export increased with big margin, with US$1437/ton while it was US$210/ton in the year of 2003.
