Analysis of the Situation of Broiler Market in 2003 and Prospect
in 2004
The Chinese broiler market in 2003 had a trend of continuous
and stable growth. Due to the rise of husbandry cost, the return
of husbandry was lower than last year. The price of chicken
meat rose first and then declined. During the period from January
to October, the import of frozen chicken entrails and chicken
wing increased while the export of chicken had declined by a
big margin. In the foreign market, the production and consumption
of chicken meat had a continuous growth in the world, but the
increase extent had been narrowed. The trade of chicken meat
had increased slightly. The price at the American chicken meat
market had increased in an all-round way. It is estimated that
the price of chicken market will be stable with slight increase;
the import of chicken meat will not increase greatly; and the
export situation will change for the better.
