The scientific research group led by China’s famous pig expert Mr. Liu Mengzhou, has recently succeeded in developing “hybrid fine pig breed of synthetic line”, Huate Pig with Chinese intellectual property right in Xinhua Pig Industrial Group in Linze county, Gansu Province. This pig breed has an average body weight of about 100 kg at 155 days of age, a feed conversion rate of 3.38:1 and lean meat percentage of over 60%, maintains the fine quality meat of native pig breed and can be compared favorably with foreign pig breeds.

Recently, through investigation and verification by domestic authoritative persons in pig industry, this research achievement has been appraised and given highly evaluations. They consider that this research achievement has reached the leading level in China. This new hybrid pig breed has become a successful path of improving breeding quality hybrid pig in a big way in order to make full use of domestic pig germplam resources.
