China has succeeded in developing feed synbiotics
Recently, the State Feed Engineering Technology Research
Center has succeeded in developing a feed synbiotic, which
can replace antibiotics in feed processing. This can provide
safety guarantee for producing toxin-free and residue-free
feed and animal products. This research project has passed
the research achievement appraisal by the Ministry of Education
and has been enlisted as an agricultural science and technology
research achievement transformation project of the Ministry
of Science and Technology.
This technology has been appraised by means of microorganism
identification, rapid micro biochemical reactions and ion
chromatographic analysis, by combining the active ingredients
of beneficial microorganisms and Chinese herbs and selected
7 object plants from 78 kinds of plant. Then, make full use
of their complementary actions, produce beneficial Bacillus
species by big tank liquid culture methods, produce feed bacillus
additives in compressed air purification system and air-flow
drying system, extract plant polysaccharides by water extracting,
alcohol extracting and ester extracting technologies, directive
extract 3 kinds of compound polysaccharides, and form an ideal
toxin-free, and residue-free feed antibiotic replacement,
feed synbiotic by optimal combination of bacillus additive
and plant polysaccharides. This feed synbiotic product has
reached similar production performance of antibiotics and
has fairly significant improvement effect on meat quality
and is an antibiotic replacement product with a bright future.
