As is known to all, in the process of poultry feeding, the precise debeaking can reduce beaking in chicken flocks in a big margin and reduce damage of hens by cocks during mating. However, the traditional electrical debeaking method can cause stress to chickens, resulting in problems of poor production performance, infections, and uneven body sizes.

NOVA-TECH Company has recently invented a new debeaking technology, which has important differences with traditional debeaking methods. It uses high intensity infrared light beam, which has no damage to chickens. Infrared light beam can penetrate through the hard external layer (cuticle) of chicken beak to reach the basal tissue, but can preserve the intact of the cuticle so as to protect the changed basal tissue. After 1-2 weeks, the activity of normal feed intake and drinking can make the drop of external layer so as to gradually expose the hardened internal layer.

The Semi-automatic operational process can make use of unique face mask to fix the head of chickens so as to guarantee the precision and continuousness of the operation. As compared with traditional debeaking methods, this technology can improve the evenness and production performance of chicken flocks.

This equipment is semi-automatic machine, can do debeaking operation for 20 chickens at the same time. Each operator can fix the heads of 2 chickens at the same time and the machine revolves continuously and baby chicks can drop into a baby chick box after debeaking.
